Sigma Nu takes 3rd Place in football this year. Great job to all the guys participating, and a great effort. We have been practicing this summer and it has definitely paid off. Shout out to our graduating seniors: Aaron Contreras (QB,LB), Mitch Motu(WR), Nick Rasch (WR,CB) and Kevin Chung(WR,SS). It was a great last game, with many interceptions and touch downs.

Also, in Minor Sports congrats to Sigma Nu for taking 2nd place in the Kick Ball tournament. From losing the first game to then going all the way to the Championship Game and placing 2nd.

Last night the entire Greek community united together for one night of spectacular performances. I am very proud to announce that our chapter, along with our partners Beta and Sigma Kappa, won for the "Best vocals" in Songfest.

For those that are not aware, this is one of the most time consuming events within the Greek community. I want to personally thank Evan Rennie, Hector Gamboa, Noel Chavez, Matt Navo and Daniel Martinez for putting in the hundreds of hours of work to get us here since fall of 2010. You have made this entire chapter proud.





Also, I am very pleased to announce that our very own brother Matt Navo won for best male vocals.

Sigma Nu took 2nd place in Pi Beta Phi's annual philanthropy Arrowdaze. We had a lot of fun participating, and while we may not have gotten first place, it will definitely be a time of our lives that we will not soon forgot. Not to mention, a memorable way to end our very last philanthropy of the year.





Sigma Nu continues to do its part to participate in helping the community as much as we can. I am so proud of all we have accomplished together this year. And even more excited about everything we are going to be doing next year.

Sigma Nu's bid for a 2nd straight victory at Gamma Phi Beta's Crescent Classic came up just short as they lost a close race to FIJI. Good job boys! 1st place awaits next year.

Having a strong turnout for the 2010 Gamma Phi Beta's Philanthropy Event, Cresent Classic, Sigma Nu was able to obtain the first place ranking and win the overall competition.  Throughout this week, the brothers of Sigma Nu showed full support by purchasing either tee shirts and/or raffle tickets along with simply signing in at the booth and meeting the lovely girls of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority.  Special thanks goes out to the coaches, Lauren Bares and Megan Kile, for getting the men pumped up during the video game competition.

This year, this chapter of Sigma Nu placed third place for Chancellor's Cup, the highest award for a fraternity at UCI.  We also won chapter awards for Best Recruitment and individual awards for Outstanding Senior and Outstanding Chapter President, with both awards going to Michael Carlson.
